Simcoe Street Reconstruction - Rossland Road to Robert Street

The Regional Municipality of Durham has completed the tendering process for the reconstruction of Simcoe Street, (Regional Road 2) from Rossland Road to Robert Street, in the City of Oshawa. Works consist of watermain, sanitary sewer and storm sewer replacement, road reconstruction, concrete sidewalk and traffic signal improvements.

The Region's contractor, Eagleson Construction, will start work the week of April 3 and is expected to complete the work by mid-October.

Simcoe Street will be closed to through traffic from Rossland Road to Robert Street beginning April 10 for the duration of the contract work.

The budget for this project is $6.9 million.
