Education and preparedness are the best defence in dealing with any type of emergency situation. While the Region and its local municipalities are doing everything to prepare for emergencies, as a resident you also have an important role to play in ensuring the safety of you and your family.
Emergencies can occur quickly and without warning. Take time to familiarize yourself with your community, take heed of potential hazards and be informed of emergency procedures and the steps to be taken in the event of an emergency.
