Discovering You! Resource

Grade 5 Discovering You!

The Discovering You! resources are available to assist Grade 5 teachers in meeting the Substance Use, Addictions, and Related Behaviours requirements that are in the New Grade 5 Ontario Health and Physical Education Curriculum and the Science and Technology Curriculum.

Activities and lessons, delivered through an engaging student workbook and classroom discussion, allow students to explore the social and environmental factors that affect their choices, including decisions around alcohol use.

Hard copies of the student workbook, teacher companion, as well as the pencils that accompany the resource, can be ordered by connecting with your school’s assigned public health nurse, or by calling the Durham Health Connection Line at 905-666-6241 or 1-800-841-2729.
