Enhanced 18-Month Well-Baby Visit

Begin now... Learn what I can do.
You know my height. You know my weight. There are other ways that I am growing and changing too. How we talk, play and learn together helps me be the best that I can be.

How is your 18-month-old developing?

As a parent you want to make sure your child is growing and developing in a healthy way. Now there is a new opportunity for a more in-depth check up for your child at 18 months of age. To prepare yourself for the Enhanced 18-Month Well-Baby Visit, complete and bring a copy of the 18 month Nipissing District Developmental Screen (NDDS) to your visit.

In addition to the recommended immunizations and the physical examination, you will have a chance to discuss child development, parenting issues, community resources and any questions or concerns you may have. Ask your primary health care provider about this important appointment.

To learn more about my healthy development and prepare for my Enhanced 18-Month Well-Baby Visit, talk to your primary health care provider or call a Public Health Nurse at Durham Health Connection Line 905-666-6241 or 1-800-841-2729.

  • If you do not have a family primary health care provider, call Health Care Connect at 1-800-445-1622.
