2012 Beach Monitoring Program Conclusion
Durham Region Health Department’s Beach Monitoring Program has now concluded for the 2012 summer season.

Throughout the summer, Durham Region Health Department tested waters at public beaches within the Region as part of its 2012 Beach Monitoring Program. Tests carried out at each beach included obtaining water samples to be analyzed for elevated levels of bacteria to advise area residents of the beaches that were safe for swimming.

Each week when test results are reviewed, they are sent to members of the media to assist with public notification of beach postings. In addition test results are updated online Friday of each week.
