Child Burns

Children 0-4 years old are constantly growing and changing. They love to explore and to do things like adults do. Children are not able to understand or recognize dangers that can cause a burn.

Common ways a child can be burned are when:

  • you are holding a hot drink in your hand
  • there are hot pots on the stove
  • there is hot bath water running.

Supervision and making small changes to your home are the best ways to prevent your child from being burned. For more information on how to protect your child, see our child safety resource.
