Child Poisoning

Dad with son in a swimming pool

Children 0-4 years old are constantly growing and changing. They love to explore, but are not able to understand or recognize dangers that can cause them to drown.

Common places a child can drown in:

  • bathtub
  • swimming pool
  • standing water (rain barrels, ponds, buckets)

Supervision and making small changes in and around your home are the best ways to prevent your child from drowning.  For more information on how to protect your child, see our child safety resource.
