Child Poisoning

Children 0-4 years old are constantly growing and changing. They love to explore, but are not able to understand or recognize dangers that can poison them. There are times you may need to use poisonous items.

Common ways a child may be poisoned are when you are:

  • taking medication
  • cleaning the house
  • doing your laundry

Supervision and making small changes to your home are the best ways to prevent your child from being poisoned. For more information on how to protect your child, see our child safety resource.
