- All entries must be received by the deadline of December 7, 2012 at 4:30pm to be eligible for prizes.
How to Enter
Use an entry form to:
- Set your physical activity goal. Start by doing what you can, then look for ways to do more. Indicate how long and how often you will be active for 2 weeks in a row.
For example, “I will walk for 15 minutes a day for 5 days this week”. - Make your plan to reach your goal. Plan when, where, what and for how long you will be active each week for 2 weeks in a row.
- Show your activity by checking off “I did it” each day when you complete your plan.

Tips for Success
You can do it!
- Write your goal down
- Make a plan, pick a time, pick a place
- Choose activities you enjoy and try new ones
- Track your activities
- When you reach your goal congratulate yourself and try a new one
Build physical activity into your day. Even 10 minutes at a time counts!
- Walk or cycle for short trips to the store, to get the mail, to work or to school.
- Walk during work breaks, after work, or before or after dinner.
- Take public transit. Walking to and from the bus stop is a great activity.
- Be active with your family and friends. Go hiking on a nature trail or play a game at the park.
- Kids can be active at recess and after school.
Work towards meeting the Canadian Physical Activity Guidelines
- Adults need 150 minutes of physical activity every week. Start by doing what you can and then look for ways to do more.
- Children and youth 5 to 17 years of age need 60 minutes of physical activity every day.
