Durham Region is committed to addressing anti-Black racism and building a diverse and inclusive workforce where everyone is welcome and feels included. To break down barriers, clarify the application process and encourage more applications from Black post-secondary students, Durham Region is hosting three summer student information sessions. We invite college and university students who are part of Black communities and looking for employment this summer to join us.

Our goal is to remove barriers and address systemic inequities that have led to the underrepresentation of Black employees at the Region.

Students attending these sessions are not guaranteed employment. They will apply through the recruitment portal and participate in the competition process, if selected.

The Region is committed to employment equity and welcomes applications from people of all identities. We do not tolerate racism or discrimination of any form.
