Durham Tourism offers an insider's guide to discovering Durham Region

Durham Region Discovery Guide

WHITBY, ON January 6, 2014 – Designed for both residents and visitors alike, Durham Tourism's new 2014 Discovery Guide offers an insider glimpse into exploring the unique tourism destinations and attractions in Durham Region.

Now available to order, the free Discovery Guide features a calendar of events; value-saving coupons for local attractions and restaurants; as well as information on Durham dining, farm-fresh flavour, family fun, outdoor adventures, sporting life, creative culture, signature experiences, hotels and accommodations, and bed and breakfast establishments.

"The 2014 Discovery Guide is a great resource for both visitors and residents of Durham Region," said Kathy Weiss, Director of Economic Development and Tourism. "This annual publication shows the scope of the region's tourism assets, and the value of the tourism sector in our local economy."

New this year to the annually produced Discovery Guide is information on how you can explore Durham Region–a four-season destination–year round. From winter wonders to summer fun, and springtime sensations to autumn adventures, Durham Region truly has something for everyone to enjoy.

"The Discovery Guide continues to be a useful resource for visitors to Durham Region, as well as residents looking for a local adventure," said Kerri King, Tourism Manager. "Once again, the guide has been produced and printed locally on environmentally friendly paper; featuring local models and photography to showcase Durham Region's economy."
