Discover Durham Region with the all-new 2016 Discovery Guide

WHITBY, ON April 01, 2016

Durham Tourism’s new 2016 Discovery Guide is now available. The guide is designed to provide visitors and residents with a first-hand look at the many unique tourism destinations and attractions throughout Durham Region.

The free Discovery Guide features a calendar of events happening year-round as well as information on Durham accommodations, local dining, agri-tourism, entertainment, shopping, outdoor adventures, sports and recreation, art, music, heritage, festivals and events, and so much more.

“The 2016 Discovery Guide is a fantastic resource for those who are visiting Durham Region, as well as residents looking for new adventures in their own backyard,” said Kathy Weiss, Director of Economic Development and Tourism. “Durham is an attractive destination for tourists of any age with a variety of interests, due to the unique mix of urban and rural attractions. This guide, refreshed with a great new design, showcases our diverse and creative culture, and we hope it will encourage residents and visitors to discover more about our beautiful region.”

New this year to the annual Discovery Guide, are featured sections such as wineries and breweries, snow sports and golf. Readers can also enjoy browsing through the comprehensive event listings section.
