Durham celebrates Canada 150 with launch of Durham150.ca

WHITBY, ON June 07, 2017

Durham Tourism, in partnership with Central Counties Tourism, is thrilled to announce the launch of Durham150.ca. This collaborative online resource highlights local events and initiatives happening throughout the region this year, in celebration of Canada’s 150th anniversary as a nation.

“This site provides an opportunity to showcase Durham Region as we continue to celebrate our thriving local tourism sector and welcome visitors to Durham,” says Kathy Weiss, Director of Economic Development and Tourism. “We invite you to experience both Durham and Canadian heritage by taking part in the Canada 150 celebrations offered through our local municipalities, events and attractions across the region.”

Durham150.ca is a valuable resource for local tourism stakeholders, residents and visitors alike. The region’s charming and vibrant communities are full of rich history and heritage, star attractions and diverse creativity. Featuring the best of what the region has to offer, Durham150.ca provides a platform for local tourism stakeholders to share their Canada 150 events and initiatives, and the stories behind them – from family fun and festivals, to arts and cultural experiences, and so much more. Residents and visitors can access this information, as well as several resources to help in planning their Canada 150 trip or adventure in Durham.
