Lakeview Manor hosts community picnic and wellness day

WHITBY, ON July 22, 2014

Members of the public are invited to attend a community picnic and wellness day on the grounds of Lakeview Manor in Beaverton.

WHEN:

Tuesday, Aug. 19 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

WHERE:

Lakeview Manor, 133 Main St., Beaverton.

WHY:

Activities will include a bicycle rodeo, a barbecue, children’s games, a best-dressed teddy bear pageant, musical entertainment, free giveaways, a rummage sale and a raffle (License No. M737406). Proceeds from the rummage sale and raffle will go to the Lakeview Manor Residents’ Council.

Wellness displays will also be on site, with representatives from the health-care community available to provide information and answer questions related to health-care matters.

NOTE:

Brock Community Health Centre is a partner in this event.

Lakeview Manor, one of the Region’s four long-term care homes, is located on 13 acres in the Township of Brock. It offers 149 beds, including two areas for short-term stays and two Adult Day programs (one at Lakeview Manor and the second at Lakeridge Health in Port Perry).
