Low water pressure in the Quaker Hill neighbourhood of Uxbridge

WHITBY, ON November 01, 2014

The Regional Municipality of Durham, Works Department would like to advise  municipal water supply users in Uxbridge’s Quaker Hill neighbourhood of  low water pressure due to a fire at the Quaker Hill Reservoir and Pumping Station earlier today. Customers are also asked to keep water conservation in mind.

WHEN:

Saturday, Nov. 1 until Monday, Nov. 3

WHERE:

Municipal water supply customers in the Quaker Hill neighbourhood of the Township of Uxbridge may notice low water pressure.

NOTE:

As a precautionary measure, customers who experience low water pressure are asked to flush out their systems after the water pressure returns to normal—to do this, turn on a cold water tap only, and let it run for approximately five to 10 minutes.

Durham Region is committed to protecting the environment and providing clean, safe drinking water.
