Lane restrictions on Simcoe Street in Oshawa

WHITBY, ON June 9, 2014 – The Regional Municipality of Durham, Works Department would like to advise residents and businesses that construction work will cause lane restrictions on Simcoe Street (Regional Road 2) in Oshawa.

WHEN:

Work begins the week of June 9, and is expected to be complete by the end of June.

WHERE:

Simcoe Street, between north of Taunton Road to the south side of the bridge over Oshawa Creek.

WHY:

Construction work includes curb and gutter replacements and road resurfacing.

NOTE:

The Region realizes that the work may be disruptive, and will make every effort to complete the work as quickly and efficiently as possible. Unfavourable weather conditions may influence the work schedule. Drivers are asked to exercise caution for pedestrian safety and for the safety of the construction workers.
