Lane restrictions at Simcoe and Conlin in Oshawa

WHITBY, ON October 09, 2015

The Regional Municipality of Durham, Works Department would like to advise residents, and Durham College/UOIT Oshawa campus students and faculty, that construction work will require lane restrictions around the intersection of Simcoe Street (Regional Road 2) and Conlin Road in Oshawa.

WHEN:

Work begins the week of Oct. 13 and is expected to be complete for this season by Nov. 30. Work will resume in May 2016. Unfavourable weather conditions may influence the work schedule.

WHERE:

The intersection of Simcoe Street and Conlin Road in the City of Oshawa. Pedestrian crossings will be maintained at all times.

WHY:

To relocate a watermain and install temporary traffic signals to prepare for a full intersection reconstruction next year.

NOTE:

The Region realizes that the work may be disruptive, and will make every effort to complete the work as quickly and efficiently as possible. Drivers are asked to exercise caution for the safety of pedestrians, cyclists and construction workers.
