Waste collection in Brock Township suspended due to freezing rain

WHITBY, ON January 17, 2017

The Regional Municipality of Durham, Works Department would like to advise residents that due to inclement weather, garbage, blue bin and green bin collection in Brock Township is being suspended until tomorrow.

Residents are encouraged to download the Durham Region Waste App to receive personalized alerts about collection delays and program updates.


All Brock Township residents with waste collection scheduled for today (Tuesday, Jan. 17) will now have their waste collected tomorrow (Wednesday, Jan. 18). Residents whose regular waste collection day is Wednesday will remain on the same schedule.


All households in the Township of Brock only who receive curbside waste collection services.


Due to inclement weather conditions, waste collection services are suspended for the day.


For the safety of workers, please ensure waste, blue bins and green bins are placed in an accessible area. Don’t place boxes on top of snow banks, and ensure they are not frozen to the ground.
