Residents invited to attend upcoming public information centre to learn about the site-specific health and ecological risk study
WHITBY, ON May 7, 2009 – The Regional Municipality of Durham would like to invite residents to learn more about the Site-specific Human Health and Ecological Risk Assessment during a public meeting on May 19, which will be hosted by the Site Liaison Committee (SLC). This group will then host their regularly scheduled meeting the following night, on May 20.
WHEN:
A formal presentation on the Site-specific Human Health and Ecological Risk Assessment will be made during a public information centre on May 19. The regularly scheduled energy-from-waste SLC meeting will be held the following night, on May 20.

May 19 from 4 to 6 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.

WHY:
These two public meetings will provide an opportunity for residents to learn more about site-specific studies related to the energy-from-waste project. Please note that the public information centre will include a drop-in information session from 4 to 6 p.m. and a formal presentation will begin at 7 p.m. A moderated question-and-answer period will follow.
