Region’s long-term care homes host holiday bazaars

WHITBY, ON November 13, 2012 – Residents are invited to attend holiday bazaars at Hillsdale Terraces and Lakeview Manor—two of the Region’s long-term care homes.

Saturday, Dec. 1
9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Lakeview Manor
Tuesday, Dec. 11
1:30 to 3 p.m.

Hillsdale Terraces’ event will include raffles, a 50/50 draw, resident’s knitted items for sale, a bake sale, outside vendors, and more. Lakeview Manor’s event will include resident’s crafts and knitted items for sale, a United Way gourmet hot chocolate stand, outside vendors, and more.

Proceeds from the bazaars will go towards resident programs at the long-term care homes.

Located in the City of Oshawa, Hillsdale Terraces provides 24-hour nursing care, physical therapy and outside recreational activities for 200 residents. Located in the Township of Brock, Lakeview Manor is a 123,000-square-foot long-term care home, providing 149 beds for residents.
