The Region of Durham Corporate Communications Office provides valued, professional and timely communications services, designed to increase awareness of the Region's programs and services. As part of this mandate, we are also dedicated to developing and enhancing media relations between The Regional Municipality of Durham and journalists, both locally and nationally.

This Media Room was developed to help provide members of the media with easy access to the most frequently requested information, in a timely fashion.

Here, journalists can learn more about the Region's responsibilities, the history of our government, facts and figures, and the dates/times of standing committee and council meetings. There's an opportunity to explore a list of current Regional Council members. Or, more detailed information can be found in some of the Region's larger documents.

Assisting journalists by helping them find the information they require is one of the main priorities of the Corporate Communications Office. After reviewing this site, those who still require further information are invited to contact the Corporate Communications Office for further assistance.
