Scope of Activities

DAAC provides advice to Planning Committee and staff on the following:

• Issues and concerns of the agricultural community
• Implementation of Provincial and Federal legislation, policies and guidelines related to the agricultural industry
• Agricultural and rural policy directions pursued by the Region
• Identification and implementation of programs which encourage public awareness and education of agricultural and related rural issues

Terms of Reference

DAAC is guided by a Council-approved Terms of Reference (PDF).  The Terms of Reference describes a scope of activities, with the aim of addressing matters referred from the Regional Planning Committee and Regional Planning Department, and matters identified by DAAC on its own initiative.
