Accreditation Canada award to be presented at Regional Council

WHITBY, ON February 26, 2014 – Members of the media are advised that an Accreditation Canada award, earned by staff at Fairview Lodge—one of the Region's four long-term care homes—will be presented during the next meeting of Durham Regional Council.

WHEN:

Regional Council meeting, Wednesday, March 5 beginning at 10 a.m. Photo opportunities will take place during the "Presentations" portion of the agenda.

WHERE:

The Regional Municipality of Durham Headquarters, 605 Rossland Rd. E., Whitby

WHY:

Employees of Fairview Lodge–a long-term care home in the Town of Whitby that is operated by The Regional Municipality of Durham, Social Services Department – received an Accreditation Canada award.

Accreditation Canada is a non-profit, independent corporation that has been helping organizations promote quality health care and adhere to national standards of excellence for more than 50 years.
