CUPE Local 1764 members vote against Region's revised final offer; labour disruption continues

WHITBY, ON June 22, 2014

The Regional Municipality of Durham would like to advise residents that CUPE Local 1764 members have voted against the Region’s revised final offer, which was negotiated by both parties on Wednesday, June 18.

The list of programs and services, that continue to be impacted by this labour disruption, is available at www.durham.ca/strike.

CUPE 1764 is the union that represents about 1,600 Regional employees (also known as our “inside workers”), who provide services in the areas of child care, income support, court services, public health inspections, traffic operations, paramedical services (paramedics) and more.
