Low water pressure in north Oshawa

WHITBY, ON November 04, 2014

The Regional Municipality of Durham, Works Department would like to inform residents and businesses that municipal water supply users in north Oshawa may have experienced low water pressure this morning.

“The Works Department has re-established water pressure for our municipal water supply customers in Oshawa,” explains Greg Lymer, Manager of Technical Support. “We apologize for the inconvenience to customers in the affected area. Normal operating pressure has been re-established.”

As a precautionary measure, customers who experienced low-water pressure are being asked to flush out their systems—to do this, turn on a cold water tap only, and let it run for approximately five to 10 minutes.

Durham Region is committed to protecting the environment and providing clean, safe drinking water.
