Finance Department to launch updated Bidding Opportunities website

WHITBY, ON March 11, 2015

The Regional Municipality of Durham, Finance Department will soon be launching an updated website for vendors who wish to bid on Regional projects, services or other commodities.

Vendors are asked to note that the Bidding Opportunities section of the website will be unavailable for a short period of time on March 20 (beginning at noon), in order to complete the required updates. Once the updated website is launched, pre-registered vendors who log into the updated system will be asked to change their password. During this time, individuals are also encouraged to choose the “Update Account Profile” link to review company information for accuracy.

Through this updated website, vendors will still be able to download tender documents after logging into the system. However, the process has changed for documents that are available in hard-copy format.

Vendors must now choose the “Order a Printed Document” button, which will request the materials, send an order confirmation email, and automatically add the vendor to the Document Taker’s list to ensure that any updates (correspondence or addenda) will be forwarded to the email provided in the vendor’s account profile. Please note that where a fee applies for this hard-copy version, it must be ordered online, and paid for, before the document will be released to the bidder or shipped via courier.

This new process will help to ensure that vendors become properly registered as Document Takers, and receive all appropriate documentation and updates related to a particular project.
