Road closure at the intersection of Olive Avenue and Cadillac Avenue in Oshawa

WHITBY, ON April 8, 2013 – The Regional Municipality of Durham, Works Department would like to advise residents and businesses that construction related to the replacement of a watermain and sanitary sewer on Cadillac Avenue in Oshawa will cause intermittent traffic delays, and a four-day road closure.

WHEN:

Construction will begin April 15. Intermittent lane restrictions and short-duration road closures may be required throughout the course of the project. A one-time road closure will take place from April 15 to 18 at the intersection of Olive Avenue and Cadillac Avenue. Work is expected to be completed by July.

WHERE:

Cadillac Avenue, from Olive Avenue to Eulalie Avenue, in the City of Oshawa.

WHY:

The Region is installing a new watermain and sanitary sewer.

NOTE:

The Region realizes that the work will be disruptive, and will make every effort to complete the work as quickly and efficiently as possible. Unfavourable weather conditions may influence the work schedule. Drivers are asked to exercise caution for pedestrian safety and for the safety of the construction workers.
