#AskKatherine: Durham to host live Twitter Talk

WHITBY, ON May 12, 2014 – Durham Region residents are invited to participate in The Regional Municipality of Durham's first-ever, live Twitter Talk, highlighting the topic of waste management, during National Public Works Week.

WHEN:

Thursday, May 22 from 11:30 a.m. until noon.

WHERE:

On Twitter, using the @RegionofDurham account: www.twitter.com/regionofdurham.

HOW:

Follow the hashtag #AskKatherine, and get involved in the conversation by asking waste-related questions during this 30-minute event. Residents can also tweet questions in advance either by using the #AskKatherine hashtag or mentioning @RegionofDurham on Twitter.

Katherine Ross-Perron, Works Technician and author of the Ask Katherine column about waste management, will be responding to common questions about managing waste at home through the Region's Blue Bin, Green Bin, Leaf and Yard Waste, and garbage collection programs.
