Construction in Pickering affects portion of Waterfront Trail

WHITBY, ON February 06, 2015

The Regional Municipality of Durham, Works Department would like to advise residents and visitors who use the Waterfront Trail network that planned construction work in Rotary Frenchman’s Bay West Park in Pickering will cause a portion of the trail to be closed for several months.

WHEN:

Work will begin the week of Feb. 17, and is expected to be completed by mid-May. Unfavourable weather conditions may influence the work schedule.

WHERE:

The Waterfront Trail, between the south end of Breezy Drive and Beachfront Promenade, within Rotary Frenchman’s Bay West Park in the City of Pickering.

WHY:

Work includes the replacement of a sanitary sewer.

NOTE:

The Region realizes that the work will be disruptive, and will make every effort to complete the work as quickly and efficiently as possible.
