Lane restrictions on King Street in downtown Oshawa

WHITBY, ON February 26, 2015

The Regional Municipality of Durham, Works Department would like to advise residents and businesses that a watermain break has caused lane restrictions on King Street, between Centre and Simcoe Streets. In addition, the watermain break has shut down the municipal water supply for residents and businesses in the area of King and Simcoe streets in downtown Oshawa.

WHEN:

Repair work is ongoing and will be completed as soon as possible.

WHERE:

King Street (Durham Highway 2), between Centre and Simcoe streets, in downtown Oshawa.

NOTE:

The Region will make every effort to complete the work as quickly and efficiently as possible. Drivers are asked to exercise caution for pedestrian safety and for the safety of the work crews.

As a precautionary measure, municipal water supply customers are asked to flush out their systems after the water pressure returns to normal—to do this, turn on a cold water tap only, and let it run for approximately five to 10 minutes.
