Reminder: Durham Festival taking place Aug. 13 to 16

WHITBY, ON July 28, 2015

The Regional Municipality of Durham, Planning and Economic Development Department, Tourism Division, in partnership with all eight local area municipalities and Central Counties Tourism, is reminding residents and visitors that the first-ever Durham Festival is quickly approaching. This four-day celebration of creativity and culture in the region will feature nine diverse events for the whole family to enjoy, and will showcase the very best of what Durham Region’s vibrant communities have to offer. Please note that pre-registration is required for some events.

WHY:

Durham Festival is a region-wide celebration of creativity and culture in Durham Region, and will showcase the best in local music, art, culture, food and creative expression of all varieties. This first-annual event promises to shine a spotlight on the region as a vibrant, creative and cultured tourism destination, and expects to attract increased visitation from out-of-town guests, while encouraging exploration by residents.
