Lane restrictions on Simcoe Street and Coates Road in Oshawa/Scugog

WHITBY, ON April 26, 2016

The Regional Municipality of Durham, Works Department would like to advise residents of lane restrictions on Simcoe Street (Regional Road 2) and Coates Road in the City of Oshawa and Township of Scugog.

WHEN:

Work begins the week of May 2 and is expected to be complete by June 24. Unfavourable weather conditions may influence the work schedule.

WHERE:

There will be lane restrictions on Simcoe Street (Regional Road 2), from south of the Canadian Pacific Railway to north of Coates Road, and on Coates Road, in Oshawa and Scugog.

WHY:

Road rehabilitation work includes intersection improvements, culvert and storm sewer replacement, guide rail replacement, lighting, ditching, asphalt replacement and new pavement markings.

NOTE:

The Region realizes that the work may be disruptive, and will make every effort to complete the work as quickly and efficiently as possible. Drivers are asked to exercise caution for the safety of pedestrians, cyclists and construction workers.
