Water pressure fluctuations in Bowmanville

WHITBY, ON July 14, 2016

The Regional Municipality of Durham, Works Department would like to advise residents and businesses that municipal water supply customers in Bowmanville may be experiencing water pressure fluctuations.

WHEN:

Thursday, July 14. The Works Department is working to resolve the issue as soon as possible.

WHERE:

Municipal water supply customers in Bowmanville, south of the railway line, within the Municipality of Clarington.

WHY:

Due to a power disruption at the Bowmanville Water Supply Plant.

NOTE:

As a precautionary measure, customers who experience low water pressure are asked to flush out internal plumbing after the water pressure returns to normal—to do this, turn on a cold water tap only, and let it run for approximately five to 10 minutes.
