New community round table meeting dates added to gather feedback for Durham Regional Economic Development Strategy

WHITBY, ON June 13, 2016

The Regional Municipality of Durham is currently renewing its five-year Regional Economic Development Strategy. As part of the strategy’s development process, the Region will be hosting an additional four community round table meetings for local business owners and stakeholders to provide constructive feedback about the region’s economy. Local business owners and stakeholders are encouraged to provide feedback that will help identify priorities for economic growth, detect core business sectors, and outline ways to meet strategic goals and objectives to support a strong local economy. Registration is required to attend the community round table meetings.

WHEN:

Individuals from Durham Region’s business community are invited to attend one of the following meetings:

June 15, 2016

7:30 to 9:30 a.m.

Ajax Town Hall (River Plate Room)

65 Harwood Ave. S., Ajax

 

June 20, 2016

7 to 9 p.m.

Cannington Arena

June 21, 2016

7 to 9 p.m.

Civic Recreation Complex (Meeting Room 4 and 5)

June 23, 2016

WHY:

The Durham Regional Economic Development Strategy will provide a vision for economic growth in the region, identify core business sectors and outline roles and responsibilities of service delivery that will help form ongoing partnerships and collaborative work plans to meet strategic goals and objectives.
