Construction at Simcoe and Adelaide in Oshawa

WHITBY, ON May 05, 2016

The Regional Municipality of Durham, Works Department would like to advise residents of lane restrictions at the intersection of Adelaide Avenue (Regional Road 58) and Simcoe Street North (Regional Road 2) in Oshawa.

WHEN:

Work begins the week of May 9 and is expected to be complete by the end of June. Unfavourable weather conditions may influence the work schedule.

WHERE:

Adelaide Avenue, from east of the Oshawa Creek Bridge to west of Mary Street North; and Simcoe Street North, north and south of Adelaide Avenue, in the City of Oshawa.

WHY:

Road reconstruction work includes storm sewer repairs, asphalt replacement, the installation of traffic loop detectors, curb and gutter work, sidewalk replacement and new pavement markings.

NOTE:

The Region realizes that the work may be disruptive, and will make every effort to complete the work as quickly and efficiently as possible. Drivers are asked to exercise caution for the safety of pedestrians, cyclists and construction workers.
