Local businesses invited to provide input for new Durham Regional Economic Development Strategy

WHITBY, ON May 20, 2016

The Regional Municipality of Durham is currently renewing its five-year Regional Economic Development Strategy. As part of the strategy’s development process, the Region will be hosting community round table meetings for local business owners and stakeholders to provide constructive feedback about the region’s economy, including identifying priorities for economic growth, detecting core business sectors, and outlining ways to meet strategic goals and objectives to support a strong local economy. Registration is required to attend the community round table meetings.

Individuals from Durham Region’s business community are invited to attend one of the following community round table meetings:

WHY:

The Durham Regional Economic Development Strategy will provide a vision for economic growth in the region, identify core business sectors and outline roles and responsibilities of service delivery that will help form ongoing partnerships and collaborative work plans to meet strategic goals and objectives.
