Potential for water pressure fluctuations in southwest Pickering

WHITBY, ON May 25, 2016

The Regional Municipality of Durham, Works Department would like to advise residents and businesses that municipal water supply customers in southwest Pickering may experience water pressure fluctuations on May 26 due to water pumping station maintenance work.

WHEN:

Thursday, May 26.

WHERE:

Municipal water supply customers in southwest Pickering (neighbourhoods around Whites Road, south of Bayly Street) may notice occasional water pressure fluctuations.

WHY:

Water pumping station maintenance.

NOTE:

As a precautionary measure, customers who experience low-water pressure are asked to flush out their systems after the water pressure returns to normal—to do this, turn on a cold water tap only, and let it run for approximately five to 10 minutes.
