“We’re very excited to have Chaya Kulkarni as our live, guest expert to not only answer parents’ questions, but also provide timely resources for parents to help support their child’s positive mental health," said public health nurse Tara Wheeler. “Positive mental health is nurtured throughout infancy and early childhood, helping to build self-esteem, good social relationships and also helps children succeed in school. Mental health is one of several parenting topics that we discuss on the Durham Healthy Families social media sites and we’re thrilled that Chaya Kulkarni is joining us to share her knowledge.”

IMHP is a coalition of professional representatives from service agencies dedicated to promoting optimal outcomes for infants prenatal to 36 months, in partnership with families and other caregivers. IMHP was initiated in 1988 by the Department of Psychiatry of The Hospital for Sick Children. Since then, the organization has grown considerably and maintains strong representation from community-based agencies across Canada, providing a collaborative, informed and passionate voice for infants, families and caregivers.
