DRCCF Professional Education and Training Committee

The Professional Education and Training committee is responsible for planning and providing professional development opportunities to the Early Learning and Child Care sector through workshops, the Supervisors' Network and the annual DRCCF Conference. The committee strives to offer the community professional development that is accessible and at a reasonable cost. A primary focus of this committee is to continue to respond to the changing professional development needs of the Early Learning and Child Care sector.

Monthly workshops on a variety of topics are planned yearly from September to June. For details please see Newsletter & Registration.

Supervisors' Network

The Supervisors' Network provides regular opportunities for networking and information sharing among supervisors and assistant supervisors working in Durham Region. Guest speakers present legislative and municipal updates related to issues that impact on the licensing of child care centres such as water testing, health, playground, or Child Care and Early Years Act changes.

The Supervisors' Network meetings also provide a forum for raising awareness of issues facing the child care community. For details please see Newsletter & Registration for details on the next Supervisors' Network Session.
