Long-Term Care and Services for Seniors

Lakeview Adult Day Program
Beaverton and Port Perry sites

What we do

The Lakeview Manor Adult Day Program in Beaverton and Port Perry provides recreational and social opportunities to frail and/or cognitively impaired elderly and adults with disabilities. The Beaverton site is a secure area within Lakeview Manor. The Port Perry site is located in the Lakeridge Health Corporation—Port Perry.

Clients may choose to participate in a variety of programs that are appropriate to their needs and interests. These programs include exercise groups, bingo, current events, crafts, special events and parties, outdoor walks, music and games. The staff is experienced in adapting to meet the needs of the individual.

Both sites of the Adult Day Program offer a "secure" area, which ensures that clients with a tendency to wander cannot exit the day program area without staff supervision.

Benefits from the day program

Both the client and the caregiver will benefit from the day program. The client, or participant, will have a pleasant day away from home in a socially stimulating atmosphere, which allows friendships to foster with other adults with similar interests. Think of the conversations you will have during dinner of how you have both spent your day! The family member/caregiver will be provided with relief, support and access to helpful resources.
