What is an Adult Day Program?

Lakeview Manor Adult Day Program provides supervised therapeutic social and recreational programming, in a secure setting, for adults living with cognitive impairments, as well as frail elderly and adults with disabilities, in order to assist them in achieving and maintaining their maximum level of functioning. The program also offers respite for the caregiver/family member, so he/she can enjoy some personal time while their loved one is cared for by professional and experienced staff.

  • To participate in meaningful programs that are designed to focus on the individual person, their abilities and strengths.
  • To remain involved in recreational activities of choice.
  • To participate in a daily balance and strengthening chair exercise class.
  • To enjoy a daily hot lunch and nutrition breaks, including special dietary requirements.
  • To receive assistance with personal care, as needed.
  • Every effort is made to accommodate language and cultural preference.

Directions to Adult Day Program

To Port Perry Site from Highway 7A and Highway 12 traveling North:

  • Merge onto 7A, follow straight onto Queen St.
  • Turn North onto Old Simcoe
  • Turn East onto Paxton, Lakeridge Health Port Perry is on the North side of Paxton
  • use West Parking lot.

To Beaverton Site from Highway 12 and Regional Rd 15:

  • Turn West onto Regional Rd15/Simcoe St.
  • Continue to follow Simcoe St.
  • Slight Left on to Main Street, destination will be on the left.

Our day programs are staffed by experienced professionals, including:

  • Coordinator/Supervisor
  • Recreation programmers
  • University and college placement students
  • Dedicated volunteers

Hours of Operation

Port Perry site:

Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Beaverton site:

Wednesday and Friday, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

  • The fee is $21 per day.
  • Fees include a hot, noon meal and nutrition breaks during the day.
  • Subsidy is available for those who meet the criteria.
