The Adult Community Support Services Program (ACSS)

What is the goal of ACSS?

The goal of ACSS is to enable adults with developmental disabilities to participate in all aspects of daily life.

Who is eligible for service?

Adults, aged 18 years or older, who have been diagnosed with a developmental disability are eligible for service.

What does an ACSS worker do?

An ACSS worker will assist with case management, service coordination, service navigation, supportive counselling and advocacy.

What are the hours of operation?

The ACSS Program operates from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Friday.

What is Developmental Services Ontario or DSO?

Developmental Services Ontario (DSO) is the single point of contact for adult developmental services in Ontario. It:

  • Provides information.
  • Confirms eligibility for services and supports.
  • Determines service and support needs.
  • Links people to services and supports.
