Domiciliary Hostels

Domiciliary hostels provide long-term, supervised shelter for adults with psychiatric or related disabilities, who require supervision of their daily living activities. Residents must be able to live co-operatively with others.

Funding is provided to Durham Mental Health Services, which operates 13 domiciliary hostel beds at two locations in Durham Region.
The Region of Durham provides financial assistance for hostel residents who are unable to afford room and board costs.

For further information about the program, contact Durham Mental Health Services at 905-666-0831 or visit their website.
