Child Care and Children's Programs

Help improve early learning and child care in Durham Region

The Regional Municipality of Durham, Children's Services Division is collecting feedback from front line child care workers. Please take five to 10 minutes and complete the Early Learning and Child Care Staff Survey

Responses will be summarized into a report. The opinions provided will help shape the future of early learning programs and child care in Durham Region.

About the project

Ontario is moving forward with its commitment to integrate and transform child and family programs. Four existing programs, funded by the Ontario government, will be integrated into Ontario Early Years Child and Family Centres (OEYCFCs). OEYCFCs will give families and children access to high-quality early years programs, as well as some programs that meet needs within their community.

Additionally, the Children's Services Division is developing a comprehensive five-year Early Learning and Child Care Service System Management Plan, which will comply with the Ministry of Education guidelines for Consolidated Municipal Service Managers and the new Child Care and Early Years Act.
