Porcelain Curbside Collection for Recycling

Porcelain bathroom fixtures include but are not limited to toilets, sinks, and bath tubs.

Note - The Region of Durham does not collect these items in the City of Oshawa and Town of Whitby. Please contact your local municipality for more information or bring your material directly to the waste management facility (standard fees apply).

PLEASE NOTE: Set out items by 7 a.m. on the scheduled collection day. Please separate the tank from the bowl for all two piece toilets. The toilet should not be placed in a cardboard box, unless it has broken into smaller pieces.

Porcelain bathroom fixtures will be collected by appointment only. To arrange for collection, call 1-800-667-5671. There is no limit to the amount of porcelain materials you may set out for this diversion program. These materials will not be collected by the regular garbage truck. These items will be recycled.
