Fusion landscaping: Eco-friendly garden design
As part of National Public Works Week celebrations, the Works Department will be offering a free workshop for residents: "Fusion landscaping: Eco-friendly garden design."
Join us on Wednesday, May 22 from 7 to 9 p.m. at The Regional Municipality of Durham Headquarters, located at 605 Rossland Rd. E. in Whitby.
This workshop will teach you how to design an attractive garden that requires less water and less maintenance. Attendees will learn how to create a beautiful landscape that suits modern family needs, while considering how factors such as plant selection, soil health, sun exposure, slopes, paths and structures influence water consumption. Attendees will also learn about efficient grass watering and receive a free rain gauge.
