Whitby, Ontario - Beginning Monday, March 8 at 8 a.m., residents of Durham Region can begin registering for appointments to receive the COVID-19 vaccine—beginning with individuals over the age of 80—via an online booking system or a central telephone booking line.

Whitby, Ontario - Residents over the age of 80 are advised that Durham Region Health Department is currently finalizing details for an online booking system and community-wide call centre for those who wish to register for a COVID-19 vaccine. Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham has maintained its Triple A credit rating with Moody’s Investors Service (Moody’s). The Region is currently one of only eight Canadian municipalities to have been awarded the Triple A rating by this agency.

Whitby, Ontario – Durham Regional Council has approved the 2021 Regional Business Plans and Budget for property-tax supported purposes.
The 2021 Property Tax Supported Business Plans and Budget totals $1.488 billion. This is funded 48.9 per cent from property taxes. Residents will see a net property tax increase of 1.98 per cent on the Regional portion of their property tax bill or approximately $55 for the average residential home assessed at $483,100.
