New hours at the Clarington Household Special Waste Depot

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham is advising residents of new hours at the Clarington Household Special Waste Depot located in Bowmanville in the Municipality of Clarington.
When: Effective October 20, the site will be open Tuesday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Extended hours to 6 p.m. on Tuesdays only will start again in May and continue until the first Tuesday in October.
This facility is closed Sundays, Monday and holidays.

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham is reminding residents to place their used or unwanted household batteries out for recycling on their collection day, during the week of November 2.
When: Fall battery collection occurs the week of November 2 on blue box collection days.
