Whitby, Ontario – The Durham Emergency Management Office wants you to be prepared for severe thunderstorms, tornadoes and other potential emergencies this summer.
In 2017, there were 14 severe thunderstorm warnings in Durham. During the past 10 years tornadoes have touched down in Ashburn, Bowmanville, and twice in Orono. Whitby, Ontario – Today, City of Oshawa Regional Councillor Joe Kolodzie completed his Declaration of Office and became a member of Durham Regional Council.
Councillor Kolodzie fills the vacancy left by the resignation of City of Oshawa Regional Councillor Bob Chapman. Councillor Kolodzie was appointed to this role, by members of Oshawa City Council, during their June 28 meeting.
