Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham, Works Department advises residents of intermittent lane restrictions on Lake Ridge Road (Regional Road 23), in Uxbridge.
When: Intermittent daytime lane restrictions from September 30 at 8 a.m. to October 2, 2019. Unfavourable weather conditions may influence the work schedule.
Where: Lake Ridge Road from 1,700 metres north of Chalk Lake Road to 600 metres south of Chalk Lake Road, in the Township of Uxbridge.

Landfill mining is an opportunity to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and leachate impacts on groundwater quality, divert material not previously separated for recycling, recover energy from reclaimed waste, and eliminate the need for long-term groundwater monitoring.
Durham began landfill mining activity in October 2018 at the closed Blackstock landfill site in the Township of Scugog.

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham, Works Department advises residents of intermittent lane restrictions on Thickson Road (Regional Road 26) in Whitby.
When: Ongoing to August 31, 2020.
Where: Thickson Road North, from Dryden Boulevard to 100 metres north of Dryden Boulevard, in the Town of Whitby.
Why: Bridge construction on Dryden Boulevard to support new development.
