Project status: ongoing
Many HR practices have changed as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. This includes selection policies, recruitment, training, compensation, and performance management. Some of these activities have stopped completely, while others have been moved online. As well, many companies have laid off employees and cut salaries, while others have increased compensation. An increase in working from home has also altered employee experiences and could potentially impact organizational culture and work practices that may continue post COVID-19.
The goals of this project are to:
• Conduct a literature review to help inform the best way to manage employees during the pandemic and give an idea of how things will be once the pandemic is over.
• Conduct interviews and surveys to understand the impact of the pandemic on HR practices, and how employees are coping with changes including working from home.
